  • Overview

    The Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst performs as a key member of Destination Maternity’s Application Services team, utilizing industry experience to design, implement and maintain BI solutions. The individual will deliver reports and visualizations using some leading BI tools, including SSAS, QlikView and Power BI. Responsibilities include translating business needs to technical specifications, creating and maintaining OLAP cubes, building and deploying reports and visualizations, conducting unit testing, writing and executing database queries to do analysis, training users, and developing and updating technical documentation.


    • Meet with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements, help in the quality assurance process, present information through reports and visualizations, and provide training on the tools
    • Design, develop and maintain SSAS cubes (facts, dimensions, KPIs, MDX queries, partitions)
    • Design, develop and maintain reports and visualizations (QlikView, Power BI, SSRS)
    • Write and execute queries upon requests for data


    • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or similar field
    • 5+ years of experience as a BI developer/analyst (retail experience preferred)
    • Experience in data modeling and related tools
    • Experience in EDW and ODS database design (SQL Server preferred)
    • Experience in ETL and related tools (Informatica PowerCenter preferred)
    • Experience in developing OLAP cubes (SSAS preferred)
    • Experience in Business Intelligence tools (QlikView, Power BI and Excel preferred)
    • Experience in developing reports (SSRS preferred)
    • Proficient in SQL
    • Experience in gathering and documenting user requirements
    • General knowledge of agile software development concepts and processes
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Good organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to details
