    The Allocation Analyst will execute the distribution of DMC seasonal and non-seasonal merchandise through the use of allocation and replenishment best practices to all stores, including company owned stores, leased locations, and eCommerce. Utilizing JDA allocation (a best-in-class tool), the Analyst will employ leading practices in inventory management while collaborating with their buying and planning partners to drive effective inventory placement. Maintain optimum stock levels by channel and at the distribution center to drive comp sales and meet GMROI targets.


    • Execute merchandise allocations by incorporating all relevant data: seasonal strategies, analysis of sales trends by category/item and location, on hand inventory levels, min/max capacity, sell-through rates, purchase quantities, and product content, making the best decision across all channels, incorporating each store’s historical performance and projected sales


    • Collaborate with Planners and Buyers to understand the assortment strategies that influenced the buy, incorporating floor set and flow guidelines, promotional cadence, and lifecycle considerations as influences to the allocation methodology


    • Size all new and flow orders to ensure the correct sizes are being bought to support both store and web needs


    • Set up and maintain monthly allocation meetings with the merchant team and planning to certify the future months' receipts are allocated to the correct channels 


    • Understand and identify growth opportunities or down-trending items/categories; communicate observations in a timely manner. Help create an action plan to maximize opportunities or minimize risk.


    • Identify the best assortment of merchandise (content and timing) by store cluster, based on past sales performance, emerging trends (sales and sell through), and store need. 


    • Generate and review sell through and stock-to-sales reports to monitor store inventory levels to highlight exceptions and take action to ensure ideal inventory is consistently maintained to meet customer demand.


    • Provide meaningful hindsights for the pre-season Quarterly Strategy Meetings




    • At least 3-4 years of relevant work experience in allocation or inventory analysis in the retail industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.


    • Must have an strong command of retail math concepts and allocation methodologies


    • Detail oriented, ability to work with high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment


    • Prior allocation within the JDA allocation system preferred, but not required


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to facilitate resolution of allocation or inventory issues cross multiples functions. Proactive in finding solutions; strong anticipatory skills


    • Ability to work well within a team
