    The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, is responsible for corporate accounting functions, including fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, treasury, G/L account analysis, spreadsheet preparation and maintenance, monthly closing assistance, and selected Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) testing and special projects.  

     

    This role offers growth potential and there is opportunity to expand the role over time. It reports out of our corporate home office in a convenient and scenic suburban location.

    Responsibilities


    • Prepare and post GL JE’s for accrued liabilities, Fixed Assets, Treasury, miscellaneous receivables, and other assets and liabilities
    • Prepare monthly payroll entries, including payroll analysis
    • Prepare monthly internal financial statements
    • Reconciliations of Deferred Rent and Fixed Assets
    • Oversee treasury accounting procedures and communication with banks
    • Preparation of support documentation for filed Forms 10-Q/K
    • Interact directly with the Company’s external auditors
    • Selected Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) testing and internal controls updating
    • Cross train in other accounting area and provide support as needed
    • Tax accounting and return support
    • Maintain accounting software

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 6 years of corporate accounting experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting
    • Advanced Excel ability
    • Experience using Sage Fixed Assets Software
    • Attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Prior treasury experience is a plus
    • Public accounting experience is a plus
