Overview

The Operations Analyst, reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Improvement Processes, will be an integral part of the Supply Chain and Distribution Center teams as you manage projects, analyze data and make recommendations to continually improve processes within our distribution center. Projects will include Supply Chain process evaluation, engineering and maintenance projects, risk management and opportunities to reduce costs and improve operations through establishing metrics and implementation of your recommendations.

Responsibilities

Supply Chain Engineering and Project Management

  • Engineering and managing Supply Chain focused projects of all sizes with coordination from the Senior Director of Technical Improvement Processes
  • Projects will relate to:  Supply Chain process evaluation, engineering and maintenance projects, cost reduction, risk management and code compliance projects and other projects which will develop to reduce costs and improve operations and meet the business needs.
  • Process and equipment improvements by evaluating existing processes and equipment, develop and improve reliability and throughput of existing equipment and cost reduction of processes.
  • Coordination and management of outside contractors.

 

Distribution Center Management and Training:

  • Operations Support, including operations management, , process development, new equipment evaluation and recommendations, training operations supervision on engineering method, evaluation of systems and software.
  • Assist as required in the management of operations for the Home Office and Distribution Facilities and equipment.
  • Provide training and monitoring of safety program and training documents for the operation.
  • Establish, validate and report productivity metrics for all Operational Departments. Metrics to be used for evaluating employee performance in Quarterly review cycle. Develop reporting and provide senior management with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual analysis.
  • Be the expert on the Automation Systems and Operational Processes. Provide recommendations for improvements. Develop implementation and testing strategy.
  • Responsible for the analysis of inventory synchronization between the ERP and WMS systems. Work with MIS, Operations and Accounting to develop procedures and policies for the proper reconciliation of inventory.    

 

Risk Management and Other Tasks:

  • Maintain MSDS system.
  • Help drive contractor safety, right to know and MSDS, egress and fire evacuation, fire system and security system maintenance, fire pump and generator systems.
  • Coordination, training and development of engineering interns, as needed.

 

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • 1- 3 years engineering experience in facilities, equipment or processes
  • 1-3 years Project management.
  • Supply Chain, Engineering or Business degree
  • Process troubleshooting experience.
  • Process and equipment improvement with increased reliability and throughput.
  • Computer skills including Auto Cad, MS Office, MS Project, Visio, MS Access and MS suite. Need strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong Analytical Skills

  • Process improvement experience and developing large complex process evaluation projects.
  • Interpersonal & Communication – develops teamwork and co-operation between employees, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Service oriented – understands the bottom line is keeping the operations running, end customer is the production department and corporate office staff.
  • Ability to identify cost savings and implant recommendations.
